During the special alleyway for weddings, the Estudiantina will guide the engaged through the most emblematic alleys of Guanajuato, while enlivening the way with traditional music, typical dances, stories and legends of the city.
The tour begins at the Juárez Theater and culminates in the Callejón del Beso.
In Guanajuato, there is an option to celebrate the traditional Callejoneada wedding accompanied by a couple of Mojigangas representing the engaged couple.
Mojigangas are a Mexican tradition that originated in colonial times and refers to giant puppets representing historical, religious, mythological, and folk characters. These figures are made of cardboard, paper mache, or fabric and are manipulated by a group of people who stand underneath them to move them. The giant puppets parade through the streets while people dance and sing around them. Additionally, Mojigangas are also used to make social and political criticisms in a satirical tone.
In addition to the Callejoneada and the Mojigangas, it is possible to prepare a special proposal at the pípila viewpoint with giant letters, the Estudiantina and an incredible photo session throughout the tour.
